Net proceeds benefit Haiti Missions
The proceeds from the 5K will be used to benefit the people of Haiti in five main areas Health, Education, Economic Development, Evangelization and Peace Program. The Health Committee is developing sustainable programs in Haiti to provide clean drinking water and health care. The Education Committee is establishing programs to rebuild schools damaged by the earthquake, build computer labs, provide school books, and job training. Economic Development is building on established sustainable village banks, livestock & agriculture programs which provide training and a sustainable source of income and food. Evangelization is currently working with the Haitian community to rebuild churches damaged by the earthquake, provide musical instruments & instruction, and provide Bibles written in Haitian Creole. The Peace Program is building on an established program providing young adults in Haiti with a means of dealing with conflict and promoting peace.
