Separated and Divorced
New Beginnings for Separated and Divorced
Everyone’s experience of divorce and separation is different,
yet many of the emotions that flood us can be similar. Catholic couples
are not immune to the divorce culture in which we live. But when this
experience becomes part of our lives, the church provides an avenue
to address the upheaval, and support us as we grieve the loss of our
dream. New Beginnings is divorce recovery within a support group format
and consists of 9 sessions, followed by Phase II, which is also 9 sessions.
Registration is closed after the second meeting, due to the nature of
the topics discussed. If you are involved in a separation or experiencing
the divorce process, this group can help you to get your bearings at
a time when life seems chaotic. Groups are organized periodically and
must have at least 8 participants to move forward. Confidentiality and
commitment to the group are essential to its success.
