Confirmation: the sacrament that strenghtens and continues Baptism; in this sacrament we are sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

Immediate preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is open to all high school students, starting in 9th grade. In order to prepare, students are asked to attend and participate in: 1 Confirmation Preparation Session (6 classes), 1 Saturday Saint Reflection, and 1 Retreat.

Confirmation Preparation Session - Three 6-week Sessions are offered during the year for both students and parents to attend. Students are asked to sign up and commit to only one session, and to complete the 6 classes within either Session One (Sept.-Oct.), Session Two (Nov.-Dec.), Session Three (Jan.-Feb.). Classes begin at 7pm on Tuesday nights in the small Chapel. Parents and students then attend an hour long breakout class with separate presenters.

Saturday Saint Reflection - As a way of building the relationship between student and sponsor, one Saturday morning is shared together reflecting on the lives of the Saints and our own calling to be saints in the world today. There will be three Saturday Saint Reflections offered throughout the year. *note: if sponsor is unable to attend, parents are asked to stand in.

Retreat - Within the context of high school youth ministry, five overnight retreats are offered during the year. Confirmation students are required to sign up and participate in one of these five as a way of living out and experiencing an active and maturing faith life.
