St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Youth Ministry, Winter Park, Florida

The Vision for High School Youth Ministry at St. Margaret Mary parish is rooted in and grows from the Good News of our Risen Lord – empowering young people to become disciples, that is, followers of Jesus, by recognizing their unique calling to the mission of the Church through community, through service to those in need, and through continued spiritual growth.

High School Youth Ministry happens in a variety of ways here at St. Margaret Mary. Our usual time is Sunday Nights, for AfterMass, following the 6pm Mass.

AfterMass: (Experience) - Sunday nights are a gathering space for high school students to get together with friends - new and old - and experience a night of fun within our faith community.

AfterMass: S.N.O.W. - Sunday Night Out With Tijuana Flatts are nights for students to meet at Tijuana's on Aloma Ave for free chips and dip. We hang out until 8:30 on these nights, as a way of sharing both food and fellowship.

AfterMass: 1065 - These meetings are open to all high school students interested in building a community rooted in honesty, openness, and hope. Come to listen and come to share your story. There will be a new speaker at each meeting.

Youth Ministry happens on other nights as well during the school year and offers other opportunities for students to stay connected throughout the week.

Coalition for the Homeless - Once a month, on the 2nd Wednesday, students meet in the Parish Hall to prepare and serve a meal to the homeless men and women downtown.

eXaLT (XLT) - Once a month, typically on a Monday, we meet in the Church for one hour of prayer. This hour is filled with 20 minutes of praise and worship, 20 minutes of a speaker, and 20 minutes of Eucharistic Adoration.

Events & Retreats - Throughout the year, opportunities will arise for spiritual retreats and/or service experiences. Please see our retreat tab for more information and keep an eye on our bulletin and email updates for when certain events are planned.
