Connect: Retreats
High School | Confirmation | Middle School | Student-Leaders |
Retreats | Social

Retreats offer a getaway from our busy world, an escape to where the seeds of faith can grow, the voice of God can be clearly heard, and a community of believers can be strengthened.

The following retreat is September 18, 9am-2pm, and is open to all middle school students:

2STRONG Retreat -This retreat focuses on the strength we receive from God, through prayer, others, & scripture. The bible tells us in Proverbs that iron sharpens iron as man sharpens man, so we too must "sharpen each other" to grow in Christ. How can we grow stronger in Christ this year?  During our 2STRONG retreat we will ask the hard question, what does it really take to be CHRIST STRONG?!
The day retreat consists of Praise and Worship, Active Learning challenges, & Small Group Faith Sharing.
What to Bring: Bible, journal, a willingness to share, & an open heart!
Wear tennis shoes and come prepared for physically-active games, through Faith Driven Fitness

If you are interested in attending the 2STRONG Retreat, please email Daisy to sign up.

Sign-up Deadline FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3

HIGH SCHOOL

The following retreats are offered throughout the year and are open to all high school students:

Freshmen ESCAPE - A retreat just for Freshmen. Held at Lakewood Retreat Center in the Fall of each school year. Our focus is to "escape" and focus on what matters as we begin the next four years of our life.

C.O.R. (Christ in Others Retreat) - This retreat focuses on spiritual growth for all high school students. Listening to talks, sharing in your small group "families", a night for Reconciliation and Mass, all help get to the "cor" of things.

The Micah Retreat - Based on the scripture from the prophet Micah, this retreat focuses on the call to "act justly" in our world. We spend the weekend considering the role that service and social justice play in our lives. Along with a night spent in solidarity with those who are homeless.

Hide The Ocean - Our Lenten journey takes us to the desert - or for us - the beach. We will quiet ourselves and focus on what message God has for us this Lent, and what the joy of the Easter season means for us.

Theology of the Body - Pope John Paul II's document, "Theology of the Body", is a great resource to guide us as we look at the importance of relationships and sexuality through the lens of our faith.

If you are interested in attending one or more of these retreats, please contact rich@stmargaretmary.org to sign up.
