A Prodigious Love – A Visit with a Friend

The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines adoration by saying: "To adore God is to acknowledge him as God, as the Creator and Savior, the Lord and Master of everything that exists, as infinite and merciful Love" (No. 2096).

That's pretty clear. Perhaps, however, the profound experience of adoration and worship involves more than just knowing the various titles and attributes applied to God.

What is it that motivates people to spend quiet time in front of the Blessed Sacrament?

Perhaps they do it just to be close to a personal friend who doesn't care about titles.
