What the Catholic faith believes about Mary is based on what it believes about Christ,

and what it teaches about Mary illumines in turn its faith in Christ.” (CCC 487).

All women of the parish are invited to discover how Mary, Our Blessed Mother, is revealed in Scripture.  Using the FORMED video series ‘The Bible and the Virgin Mary’, we’ll study Mary’s role as the New Eve, the Ark of the New Covenant, and the Queen Mother.  This study also examines Catholic doctrine regarding Blessed Virgin and explores the Vatican-approved apparitions of Our Lady that have occurred over the last two millennia.

The 12 sessions of this study will be divided up throughout the year on Thursday evenings at 7 pm. as follows:

Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24:  Lessons 1-4

Jan. 9,16, 23, 30:   Lessons 5-8

March 5, 12, 19, 26:    Lessons 9-12

As FORMED parishioner members, videos may be viewed on their website at any time.  So, when that last-minute meeting or surprise guest shows up for dinner, you can view the lesson you missed at your convenience and know that you won’t feel lost.

If you don’t have a FORMED account yet, it’s simple and FREE to all parishioners. Go to smm.formed.org to sign up.   Locate ‘The Bible and the Virgin Mary’ series, click each individual lesson and download the participant guide to print. Easier yet, bring your tablet or phone to the group meetings and follow along digitally.

Childcare will be provided for children 10 years of age and under.
