2019 Orlando Liturgical Conference, scheduled for August 22nd – 24th, 2019 at the Hilton Orlando.
This year’s liturgical conference, as the title is: “Liturgy in Action: Crossing the Threshold”. The Orlando Liturgical Conference is committed to evangelize, inspire, form, and educate diverse liturgical ministers. Liturgy in Action: Crossing the Threshold, the 2019 Orlando Liturgical Conference, will explore how encountering Christ through the progression of the Mass leads to thresholds of transformation, inspiring us to become missionary disciples. It is open to all clergy, liturgists, musicians, cantors, choir members, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, and all those who wish to gain a better understanding of the Church's liturgy for three days of keynote speakers, inspiring liturgies, and informative breakout sessions.
Keynote Speakers include, Bishop Shawn McKnight, Bishop of the Diocese of Jefferson City and expert on the Permanent Diaconate; Fr. Ricky Manalo, Presbyter in the Paulist Order; Musician, Composer, and Theologian; Dr. Peter Latona, Music Director of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC; Conductor, Composer. and Organist; and Dr. Dolores Martinez; Musician, Composer, and Consultant to the Bishops Hispanic Subcommittee of the Bishops' Committee on Divine Worship. This year's conference will offer 2 institutes: a Liturgy Institute by Christopher Ferraro, director of the Liturgical Music Institute, and an RCIA Institute by Diana Macalintal and Nick Wagner, co-founders of TeamRCIA.
