People of many faiths want to go to heaven, even though they have never been there.
Since heaven is far beyond our human ability to fully understand, we can't anticipate all that we'll find there.
This week's Year of the Eucharist quote from Pope St. Pius X suggests that the Eucharist gives us a taste of what we'll find. It also suggests that the Eucharist is the "surest and easiest" way to get there.
What does that mean? What taste of heaven can reception of the Eucharist give us?
Perhaps the better we know Christ, the better we'll also understand the place where he dwells.
Perhaps the closeness to Christ we experience in the Eucharist may give us a small taste of what we'll find when we get there.
