St. Margaret Mary parish offers several opportunities and programs for Scripture studies or spiritual enrichment. We always encourage new participants.
Evening Bible Study
Wednesdays – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

We are excited to offer a new Bible study option open to all men and women of the parish (ages 18 and over). This new evening study program will explore how to read the Bible and an overview study of Salvation history with Jeff Cavin’s “Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation” program.
Fall 2023 - Phase 1 Sessions 1 – 8
Sessions begin September 20, 2023. Registration opens approximately 3 weeks before each study.
Spring 2024 - Phase 2 Sessions 9 – 23
Sessions begin Jan. 10, 2024. Registration opens approximately 3 weeks before each study.
The first portion of each session is a video-based study. The second portion of each session offers optional small group faith sharing. At home Scripture reading in advance of the sessions is recommended, but not required.
Each registered participant will receive a free copy of the Bible Timeline chart to use during the study. For a deeper study experience, participants may also purchase the study workbook; however, the workbook is not required.

Men’s Bible Study
Tuesdays – 7:00 am – 8:00 am
No registration is required.
Our men’s Bible study group is led by Fr. Walsh. The group is open to all men of the parish (18 and over). Come join the group for lecture, faith sharing, prayer on the upcoming Sunday’s readings, fellowship, and unlimited free coffee.
Study books are provided at the first meeting.
The group meets September through June.
Women’s Bible Study
Thursdays – 9:00 am – 10:00 am; OR Thursdays via Zoom – 7:30 pm
Advance registration is required.
The women’s Bible Study group offers two Scripture based studies per year – one in the fall and one in the spring.
The program for fall 2023 is “Lectio: Mary: The Bible and the Mother of God.” This 8-week program begins September 28, 2023. Registration opens approximately 3 weeks before each study.
The program for spring 2024 is “Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John.”
This 8-week program begins January 25, 2024.
The studies are primarily self-paced with at home reading/video review prior to coming to the weekly faith sharing and discussion sessions.

Frequently asked questions:
What if I’ve never read or studied the Bible before?
It’s okay! No specific academic or Bible study background is needed for any of our study options. Many first-time participants who come to Bible study have never read or studied Scripture on their own. We all come to learn!
What if I don’t have time to prepare as suggested for a session?
You are encouraged to attend even if you didn’t have time to prepare at home with the assigned readings or videos, if applicable for your study. The Spirit still works and inspires us. Come anyway!
