Jesus promises that those who love Him and keep His commandments will never be abandoned, for the Holy Spirit will dwell within them and reveal the living presence of God in their lives.
Through prayer and the anointing of the body with the oil of the sick, a special grace of healing and comfort is given to the Christian who is suffering from a serious illness or the effects of old age.
