As we continue thru this challenging year, the following words from Saint Pope John Paul II should motivate us all to act on behalf of the weakest and most defenseless in our society.
“No single person or group has a monopoly on the defense and promotion of life. These are everyone’s task and responsibility…. the challenge facing us is an arduous one: only the concerted efforts of all those who believe in the value of life can prevent a setback of unforeseeable consequences for civilization.” Pope John Paul II, Encyclical Letter, The Gospel of Life, No. 91 (1995).
Let us respond positively to this great Saint’s plea.
