Pregnancy Resource Centers Attacked

Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs) are charitable organizations in local communities offering hope and life affirming options for pregnant women and families. Their services include: free counseling, free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, free STI/STD tests, and, frequently, free parenting and prenatal education classes,  free diapers and clothes, free car seats and strollers and free post-abortive support. The Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) reports between 2016 and 2020, over 800,000 lives nationally were saved as a result of abortion minded and abortion-vulnerable women’s visits to approximately 3000 PRCs nationally. Care Net, a PRC network, estimated the total value of such services in 2019 was $270 Million.

Despite their commitment to the public good, more than 50 PRCs and pro-life group offices nationally have been firebombed, vandalized, suffered broken windows and endured menacing threats since May.  During this same period the senior senator from Massachusetts has engaged in a verbal assault on PRCs condemning them as “fake clinics” and calling for a “crack down” on pro-life centers. Yet despite the inflammatory rhetoric and attacks by pro-abortion anarchists, PRCs continue to offer women in crisis pregnancy situations positive alternatives, compassion and love.
