Once again, thanks to all SMM parishioners for your incredible generosity. We will always be in need of food donations for the various pantries we serve, but the need really increased when we left “business as usual”. During the past many months, we have collected literally tons of food and distributed it to as many as 5 different agencies.
At this time, we will resume our normal collection and distribution of food while we ask for your continued generosity. Operationally, here is how our pantry program works. On the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, we will deliver food that was donated the previous week to the Winter Park Food Pantry at Christian Service Center. On the 2nd Monday of each month, the food will be allocated to the Farmworkers of Apopka. The 4th Monday delivery will go to Hope Community Center. Each pantry has some specific needs and we will once again list suggest items in the bulletin that pertain to the following delivery. Note that ALL food donations are appreciated and will be used.
In addition to sale items, this pantry is always in need of:
Peanut butter & crackers - Soup - Pasta Meals - Tuna/Chicken - Cereal - Protein/breakfast bars - Pretzels/Goldfish - Raisins
